FAQ

Why do I get “failed to create automation” when trying to configure second “advanced automation” for the same QR code name? This happens because the system does not allow more than one “advanced automation” per QR code name.

Why is this restriction in place?

Let’s say you configure open link automation and redirect to item automation for the same QR code name. Should scanning QR code open a link or item in monday? To prevent conflicts like this, the system enforces a one advanced automation per QR code name rule.

If QR code has an advanced automation configured you can still configure as many basic automations as you want!

What’s the pricing for the app? The app subscription is managed within monday.com, and detailed pricing can be found here.

Does QR Flow support subitems? QR Flow has a limited support for subitems. You can read more here. If there is a missing use case needed for your business, reach out to us!

What data is stored by QR Flow? QR Flows stores minimal necessary data for an application to function correctly and to support our users. This data includes identifiers like item ID, board ID, column ID, your configuration and subscription details.

How are QR codes secured? Privacy and security are essential in the QR Flow app. Any link generated after scanning a QR code remains valid for 10 minutes. Once expired, accessing the link will result in an error, requiring the QR code to be re-scanned to display data or execute an action. For even greater control, users can create single-use QR codes and disable those that are no longer needed, ensuring secure QR code management.
